Warning! Permit Phishing Scams by Fake Officials          The FBI has issued a warning about a phishing scam in which criminals pose as city officials to target people applying for planning and zoning permits.  The attackers use publicly available information to make their emails appear legitimate, referencing actual permit details and officials’ names. Victims are asked to pay fees via wire transfer, peer-to-peer payment apps or cryptocurrency.  The FBI and City of Belle Meade advises you to verify any fee requests directly with city staff at Belle Meade City Hall.  The City of Belle Meade will NEVER ask for payment by wire transfer or cryptocurrency.

Traffic Calming Islands Approved for Lynwood Blvd and W. Tyne Drive      City of Belle Meade Commissioners have awarded a construction contract to the Nickell Company for two traffic islands on Lynnwood Boulevard and a new all-way stop to be installed at Lynnwood Blvd and Iroquois Avenue and three traffic islands on West Tyne Drive between Belle Meade Blvd and Page Road.  We anticipate construction to begin in mid-March 2026 and last approximately 12 weeks.

Belle Meade and Metro Nashville’s Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure will soon begin construction of new poles, signal heads, controllers, and pedestrian signals for the intersection of Harding Place and Belle Meade Boulevard.
