The City of Belle Meade adopted a “TREE ORDINANCE“, Ordinance 2019-11, establishing tree management and protection standards for all properties. The guidelines of the ordinance must be followed by anyone pulling a building permit or land disturbance permit as well as a homeowner wishing to cut down a tree. A list of acceptable trees that cannot be removed without the required number of replacement trees, as well as the exceptions to the tree management standards can be found in the ordinance.
