Belle Meade Property Tax Statements
Mailing of Tax Notices:
- Tennessee law does not require the mailing of property tax notices indicating the amount of taxes due.
- However, The City of Belle Meade mails tax statements as a public courtesy, usually in the first week of October each year. The City of Belle Meade does not mail tax bills to mortgage companies. These statements are sent to the address of the owner of record on file with the Davidson County Tax Assessors office.
Owner’s Responsibility:
- Tennessee law presumes that property owners are aware that taxes are due, even without receiving a personal notice.
- Consequently, not receiving a tax bill does not exempt the owner from their obligation to pay property taxes by the deadline and will not be a reason to avoid interest on delinquent payments.
- Property tax amounts are available and may be paid online.
- Property taxes can also be paid by mail, hand delivered to city hall, or by placing in green drop box at the entrance to city hall
