Cathy has lived in Belle Meade since 1991 and is currently serving her third term as Commissioner. Cathy and her husband Doug have been married for 34 years and have three grown sons, Douglas, Chase and Ford. Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, she graduated from the University of Mississippi and has completed graduate work at Vanderbilt University and Lipscomb University, Cathy has been active in the Nashville community and was Chief Development Officer at Monroe Harding until August 2016. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Nashville.
Professional and community involvement has included membership in the Economic Club of Nashville and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has held leadership positions in numerous community organizations and in her children’s schools, Montgomery Bell Academy and Harding Academy. Cathy has chaired numerous committees and events in the Nashville community. A member of the Centennial Club of Nashville, Cathy enjoys reading, traveling and time with friends, family and her two dogs (Maggie and Cooper).
